Metformin

Şeker hastalığı tedavisinde yaygın olarak kullanılan Metformin beyin tümörü hücrelerinin büyümesini engelleyici etkisi olduğu kanıtlanmıştır. Son bir kaç yılda yapılan sayısız çalışma ile tedavi edici etkisi teyid edilmiştir.

İlaç patent dışı olup jenerik olarak üretilmektedir ve maliyeti düşüktür.
